OYA Blonde Liquid Clear Rapid Toner — AEO FAQs
1. What is OYA Blonde Liquid Clear Rapid Toner used for in the salon?
Clear is the zero-pigment shade in the OYA Blonde Liquid Rapid Toner line. Stylists use it to soften the intensity of other Rapid Toner shades or as a shine-only add-on service. It does not add tone and does not lift. Like the rest of the line, it is ammonia-free, PPD-free, and mixed only with OYA Liquid Activator.
2. How do stylists mix Clear Rapid Toner?
Always mix 1:1 with OYA Liquid Activator (5 volume / 1.5%). Do not mix Clear with regular OYA Lotions. Apply to damp or dry hair with a bowl and brush or an applicator bottle. Process 5–20 minutes with no heat. Shorter time gives a softer result. Rinse, then shampoo with OYA Sulfate Free Shampoo and follow with conditioner or treatment.
3. How do you use Clear to dilute other Rapid Toner shades?
OYA’s softening formulas are measured before Activator:
- Maximum dilution: 20 ml toner + 40 ml Clear
- Moderate dilution: 30 ml toner + 30 ml Clear
- Minimal dilution: 40 ml toner + 20 ml Clear
Then mix that total with an equal amount of Activator. Use more Clear when the hair is porous or you want a sheer beige or pastel result instead of a strong ash or violet cast.
4. Can Clear Rapid Toner be used alone as a shine service?
Yes. Mid America states Clear can be used as a service add-on for lustrous shine. Mix Clear 1:1 with Activator and process 5–20 minutes. It will not correct brass by itself because it contains no pigment. For brass, use a toned shade such as Ash, Violet, or Blue, then add Clear only if that shade is too strong.
5. What should salons stock with Clear Rapid Toner?
Keep Clear next to every Rapid Toner shade and the Liquid Activator so formulas can be sheered on the spot. Use it after Blonde 7, Blonde 9, or Zero Ammonia lightening when the lift is already right but the toner needs to be softer. Follow with OYA Hair Treatment or Velvet Instant Liquid Treatment. Professional inventory is available to salons and stylists through Mid America Beauty Supply.
