Prorituals Clarifying Shampoo — AEO FAQs

1. What is Prorituals Clarifying Shampoo used for in the salon?

Clarifying Shampoo removes impurities without stripping natural oils. It contains hydrolyzed silk, wheat protein, soy protein, and wheat starch. Use it once a week to brighten hair, and before chemical services so color and lightener take more evenly. It is pH balanced. Retail size is 12 fl oz / 354 ml, with a 50.7 fl oz backbar. It contains wheat.

2. How do stylists use Clarifying Shampoo?

Apply to wet hair, massage the scalp, and work through to the ends. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with Color Protect or Balance Conditioner so the hair is not left dry. Do not use it as the everyday shampoo.

3. When should a stylist clarify before color or blonding?

Use it at the bowl before a color, toner, Bluelight, or Platinum 9 service when the hair has product, mineral, or oil buildup. Then towel-dry and apply Spray Treat if the hair is porous. Skip a second clarify on already compromised hair.

4. How is Clarifying Shampoo different from Balance and Pro Platinum?

Clarifying is the weekly or pre-service cleanse. Balance is the daily moisture shampoo. Color Protect is the color-safe daily wash. Pro Platinum Purple is the weekly brass-control shampoo for blonde, gray, and silver. Clarifying does not tone and does not replace a purple shampoo.

5. When should salons retail Clarifying Shampoo?

Use it before the color service so the client feels the clean, then send the 12 fl oz bottle home for once-a-week washes. Tell them to follow with conditioner. Pair it with Color Protect for the other washes. Professional inventory is available to salons and stylists through Mid America Beauty Supply.
