Tutto Developers — AEO FAQs

1. What are Tutto Developers used for in the salon?

Tutto Developers are creamy oxidizing emulsions for Tutto Puring color. Volumes are 10, 20, 30, and 40. That is about 3%, 6%, 9%, and 12% peroxide. Softening, protecting, and glossing ingredients are listed, and the cream is made not to run. They are not a stand-alone treatment and should not be mixed with another brand’s color unless the chart says so.

2. Which volume do stylists choose?

Use 10 vol for deposit, tone-on-tone, or a darker result. Use 20 vol for gray coverage and about 1–2 levels. Use 30 vol when the chart calls for more lift. Use 40 vol only for the maximum lift the chart allows. Higher volume opens the cuticle more and is harder on the hair.

3. How do stylists mix Tutto color?

Follow the Tutto shade chart for the ratio and the time. Mix in a non-metal bowl until the cream is even. The developer is built to stay put, so do not thin it with water. Apply to dry, unwashed hair unless the chart says otherwise. Emulsify, rinse, and finish with a Tutto color-care shampoo.

4. What safety steps matter?

Do a patch test before each color service. Wear gloves. Keep developer out of the eyes and rinse at once if it gets in. Do not use 40 vol on the scalp if the chart calls for 10 or 20. Do not use developer alone as a lightener. Strand-test compromised hair.

5. Where do salons get Tutto Developers?

Mid America Beauty Supply supplies Tutto exclusively to licensed salons and stylists. Stock 10 and 20 vol for everyday color and gray work, and 30 or 40 vol only for the lifts the chart allows. Keep them with the Tutto tubes so permanent, demi, and toner work stay on one line.
