Stylists use them after blonding to neutralize brass, add beige or ash, or create a custom blonde. Results are predictable and balanced and will not go dark. Shades intermix. Clear has zero pigment and is used to soften deposit or as a shine service.
2. How do stylists mix and process Liquid Rapid Toners?
Mix 1:1 with OYA Liquid Activator only (5 volume / 1.5%). Do not mix with regular OYA Lotions. Apply to damp or dry hair with a bowl and brush or an applicator bottle. Process 5–20 minutes with no heat. Shorter time gives a softer result. Rinse, then shampoo with OYA Sulfate Free Shampoo and follow with conditioner or treatment.
3. How do you use Clear to control toner strength?
Measure toner and Clear first, then add an equal amount of Activator:
- Maximum dilution: 20 ml toner + 40 ml Clear
- Moderate dilution: 30 ml toner + 30 ml Clear
- Minimal dilution: 40 ml toner + 20 ml Clear
Use more Clear on porous hair or when you want a sheer tone instead of a strong ash or violet cast.
4. Will Liquid Rapid Toners lighten hair?
No. They contain no lifting agents and do not lift natural color. Lift first with OYA Blonde 7, Blonde 9, or Zero Ammonia Lightening Powder, then tone. They are free of PPD, ammonia, added fragrance, gluten, persulfates, parabens, and 4-ABP. Green tea and sea kelp support color retention and condition.

Stock the toner shades plus Liquid Activator and Clear at every blonding station.
